There’s a Second Door?!?
Apparently so reports Madison's WKOW.
Representative Jeff Wood (I-Chippewa Falls) is burying the idea he slipped a media throng by hopping out his ground floor capitol office window into the snow and off to privacy.
Wood’s presence at the capitol Wednesday was his first appearance there in weeks. Wood has also avoided making any face to face, on the record quotes to reporters since the first of Wood’s three recent arrests for alleged drunk or drugged driving.
When Wood refused to join reporters at his office’s front door for nearly an hour, reporters discovered fresh tracks in the snow beneath his office window.
But Thursday, in a telephone interview, Wood told WXOW-TV he went out his back door.
Most capitol offices have only one door in-and-out.
But Assembly chief clerk staff member Laura Jones confirmed Wood’s 21 North office has a second door leading to a capitol hallway.
It's been a while since I've been in the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison. That will definitely be something I have to check out next time I'm there.
