Oh, How Soon They Forget
I pwned Leibenthal on this fact last night, but it appears the rest of the urchins are parroting his post last night on the news of the Walker Campaign’s latest hire need a history lesson as well.
With all the excitement of the hire of Ms. Jill Bader to the Walker campaign, the name “Anson Kaye” appears to have been lost on the political blogging left of Wisconsin.
Governor Jim Doyle today announced the appointment of Anson Kaye as Senior Policy Advisor. Kaye most recently served as the Chief of Staff for Congressman Anthony Weiner of New York in Washington, D.C. Kaye also served as Weiner’s Communications Director and Senior Advisor during his recent campaign for mayor of New York City.
“Anson brings with him a wealth of experience from Washington, D.C., New York, and Boston, and we are fortunate that he has decided to join us here in the Midwest,” Governor Doyle said. “He will be a vital member of my Administration as we continue the important work of investing in kids, growing our economy, expanding access to health care, and protecting taxpayers.”
Before serving Anthony Weiner in his congressional office and on his mayoral campaign, Kaye was the Press Secretary for Middlesex District Attorney Martha Coakley in Massachusetts. Kaye received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1997 and graduated Cum Laude from Brandeis University in 1991.
Anson Kaye’s appointment fills the vacancy left by former Senior Policy Advisor Kirk Brown.
The “Senior Policy Advisor” job was a total smokescreen, within three months, Kaye was the spokesman for the 2006 Doyle re-election campaign.
But hey, why let a little thing like the past history screw up a meme that capper thinks will gain traction with the electorate. (Um, Chris, it won’t.)
Typically no one cares what a campaign mouthpiece is saying in the first place, why would they care where they’re from?
